Sandwich of the day
Like some sandwich of the day I saw you sitting there; minding your own. My appetite was all consuming; how I hungered for a bite. An unusual combination certainly nothing like I’m used to - fancy grains and foppish filling; a generously portioned delight. Curiosity got the better of me! So I made my choice; tentatively of course, not really knowing if I’d like it, that I’d come to love it. So it would become such a favourite I’d ask for it each time; only to be told it was last week’s special, it’ll cost another dime! And I know I’ll never tire of it; wanting it over and again. It’s such a delicious comfort to me; my lunchtime, wholesome friend.
