Saved - Epic
I look for her again, deep in the blue Please let me find her today, I pray I know what I saw that day was true I know it was real, and not my mind at play Thirty six days to the dayIhavebeen here Each a stroke measure on this tree side Since I saw her I had no more fear Each day since then , oh where does she hide? The ship was sturdy as we set off the shore Bidding farewell to my fair lady that sad day Promising I would return with so much more Promising she would be forever mine on that day The journey was slow as it always is Our destination twenty days to the East A dozen sea weary men at the mercy of the seven seas All looking forward to their return and a jolly feast The sky turned black by the turn of day thirteen The winds impossible to tame in our large sail Waves crashing over, larger than I have ever seen Our once sturdy ship now small and frail Four, I saw washed over the sides The captain holding the steer with all his might I wished I never heard their sorrowful cries Soon there were no more in sight As the ship turned over I remembered home Remembered my fair lady and the promise I made The shipwent down from where I was thrown And I sunk feeling my life, and will, fade I closed my eyes as my chest started to burn The last breathe paining to be released I closed my eyes and waited death’s turn And then I felt my head seized I opened my eyes and saw a blurred beauty Her lips smiling and her face close to mine My mouth opened as she kissed me I breathed in her breath and knew I wouldbe fine

Would the old me like the me I have become? I wonder if he would have been my friend Would he see me, then turn around and run? Knowing that me is how he would be in the end
