Philosophical

I can't help but be a little skeptical 
The whole world is up in arms 
I don't feel this is acceptable 
Who will protect us from all harm. 
 
Fear seems to be consuming us 
As we see the devastation of war 
What can we do to change the status 
Have we gone a little too far? 
 
I believe bravery is commendable 
But when innocent lives are at stake 
Do we really feel that we are capable 
Of saving democracy or is it a mistake? 
 
Every plan deserves a careful strategy 
Or am I just over-thinking this too much 
Will it be a battle won or maybe a tragedy 
I don't know the answer; I refuse to be the judge.
