Saving Me
While in a state of nothingness, When I could hardly care, You saved me; Something no one else would dare, And all I could do was stare Yet within myself I cry, For no matter how hard I try, I can never rationalize why, You would ever waste your time, With such a screwed up guy, But maybe I’m not quite as messed up as I thought, Maybe I forgot myself in that person who I sought, So In a state of nothingness, When you were there to care, You saved me; And nothing I could ever say would be enough, So please except this poem, Because no matter what I do, I could never start to thank you, For everything, For everything
