Saying Goodbye
The tears roll down her cheeks Leaving marks upon her skin She doesn't want to say goodbye Especially not to him He said he'd always be there That their love would never end But what if she never sees him again When turning the bend He taught her the meaning of love Showed her that dreams really do come true He made her heart beat faster When he said "I love you" And now as he holds her close Perhaps for the last times She can't hold back her tears Though he promised he'd be fine She keeps her eyes on his face For as long as she possibly can She never thought she'd have to say goodbye To her precious, darling man
