Seasons of my childhood
When I was small the garden was big, with many places to hide. Cubby houses hidden away where friends were happy to reside. Autum has brought a carpet of leaves to splash color here and there. Winter is knocking at the door, a chill is in the air. Gumboots and parkers it seems are the order of the day, even the cold wind and rain cannot chase me from play. Finally the sun peeks from its perch on high, and a sea of flowers begins to bloom, spring it seems is nigh. Birth of new life all around spring is a happy time, summer is spreading her arms not quiet yet in her prime. Drying all in its path northerly winds blow the spring away. Hats and sunscreen out you come, summer is the order of the day. I loved the seasons of my childhood, my memories are sweet and true. Tucked away inside my mind but today I share them with you.

Im a married mother of one, who enjoys melting away into poetry from time to time. Im no proffessional and nor do I esteem to be, I just want to enjoy it.
