Selangor Night

Selangor Night As dusk precedes Selangor night I sit and watch the drifting light The last rays of the sun glow gold Rain clouds of silver grey unfold Wispy shapes that float and curl The moon’s an incandescent pearl A thunderbolt lights up the skies The celestial fire then quickly dies A blinding flash, lightning streaks Above tall glass twin tower peaks Resembling two bejewelled spears The raindrops are as nature’s tears Now darkness masks the hills afar Each city light is a twinkling star With flashing lights of blue and red As the outbound jet flies overhead The Western sky is a midnight blue But to the East, of a different hue Then dawn succeeds Selangor night I sit and watch the drifting light
