Self Portrait
Set down a clean canvas, And pick up your paints, Create for me a picture, Of who you think I am. Maybe you paint me, As an ugly woman, With gruesomely grotesque features, And scribbled across the page, Are spiteful words of hate. Maybe you paint me, As a lovely lady, Wreathed with golden locks Surrounded by a shining light, of all that isgood. Paint me as you want, View me how you please, But contrary to what you may think, Only I can paint the real me.
