Self-Respect

I gotta to start seeing myself For what I'm worth Dreaming up worst case scenarios Just doesn't work I need to start being More assertive and direct I need to start giving myself Some God damn respect There's always something bothering me Or making me sad And quite frankly to get rid of it I would be glad I never try to see myself For what I really am But for what I believe in I gotta take a stand Maybe if I start respecting myself People will start respecting me And once I establish that Then I will truly be free By Glenn McCrary © 2010 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
