selfless
My eyes are tired And I cannot sleep, My limbs are wounded And I cannot breathe: I fade into numbness, I cave into selfless... I hear my soul echoing Through the distant walls of fate I try to glimpse where I am To get a clue of where I stand... My head aches - I don't understand, I'm nothing more than a blur. A blur that shifts and aches A blur slipping through fates Always looking for a meaning Always gripping to a reason - Yet I survive and live And re-shape myself within A mirror faces my hand: What is this face I see? I don't recognise her - But I know that is me. Someone else I've been. Someone else I'll be.
