You are standing there still as can be As you you flick your ears for me You gladly repeat the pattern Then give me my turn to guess, How is it you are teaching me A language science says cannot be Tiny flags waving atop your cute face Amid building frustration of my slow pace Don’t give up on me My sweet sweet puppy Though I may be slow to understand Compared to the world, you are truly grand To me you’re much more Than just belly rubs on the floor You are the smartest one in the room Two legs or four. This is a true story of my dog Kai trying to teach me how she communicates
