shallow breathing
radiant sunrise exposes the night’s crimes scurrying delinquents rush by. yesterday’s children avert their gaze. what a beautiful sunrise. clinging fog mingles with illicit smoke polished ladies circumnavigate the world to arrive at lavish parties. don’t ask too many questions. this is lovely china. And I sit by the ladies, walk with the children, befriend the delinquents, blow off the smoke. don’t look too hard, don’t breathe too deep travel lightly, weary souls. this is not meant for you. when your heart aches, don’t grieve for the world. just resume your shallow breathing.
