She has returned
And the wind blows her scent my way I can remember its sweetness even to this day Memories from a happier time floods the eye within All these years, where my love, have you been? And her voice travels to my ears A sound to ease the pain of all these years Is it really her? has my beloved returned? Is this really the day for whichI have yearned? And quivering fingers touches my rugged face A sensation, a spark, a warm embrace I dreamt of this moment countless moments before I held her tight, of this moment I want more But of her face, I could not see She realised what they had done to me She held me again, drowning all their lies Forour punishment, they had taken my eyes
