She... [letting go]

She took my breath away, she made me feel For a moment she made me stop, she made me think for a while She made me smile, but pity we couldn’t walk a mile She could have been the one but she never was mine Mine was the disappointment and rejection Her eyes were filled with life, her bosom bearing the secrete Discreet as it was, my heart could still feel the pain She could have held my hand and made my day But the end was at the doorstep, the sensation was blundering Time could smell and feel the end She could have whispered in my ear But the tear in my eye was a stain It symbolized the pain buried within She never saw within but only the cover which was dull and frayed I could have smiled and kissed her forehead But too bad my hand couldn’t reach She could have felt my heartbeat but she never came any close Maybe my stinking past was too strong for her to breathe She could have waved a hand, but she never looked back Back? If only I could turn back the hands of time She could have been the one The one who’d make me smile Well she never was But all I know is she was the girl next-door Yes the girl next-door to my heart She is the woman I dream about Pity she never saw Or head my lonely voice Too soft to make her live a gift of life, my care She never saw the broken smile of my soul My cares torn apart by affection Maybe I should have said it louder Maybe I should have made her smile, though so far a mile away Away was my mind blown by her beauty? Should I go to detail and flabbergast my emotion about what I reminisce No, the grief still pays the dept it owes to my heart My hear that was blind but now so deaf to love She might have touched my soul She could have been the one Could she ever still be mine…
