She's the Better One
(She'll know it's for her) She’s The Better One Her eyes hold light, Stories yet to come. She’ll never know, My thoughts, my actions. Why I push her, How strong she is. Life is hard enough, She doesn’t need me. To drag her down, While she hold’s my hand. She thinks I’m her support, But she is past needing help. I want to scream, To let her strive for all she wants. She needs the sun to grow, And I am only dark. I could leave, But she’d misunderstand. And in reaction hate me, When she should disown me. How do you teach a bird to fly, That will not leave an open cage? She has life, That which I do not. I will not trap, In my chaos. But she won’t heed warning, My evil envelopes me. Hell is not her home, But where I reside. -Dec 06 Sheena Allen
