Ship-in-a-bottle

A bubble of tender love; an oasis in a parched desert. My ship-in-a-bottle safely secreted away from prying eyes. I run to keep up with your changing seasons; whilst you walk on water I succumb ever deeper to the pull of the swell. Hands across the sea. I felt you go, A snapshot send-off. Your shadow, a smudge on my landscape. And I wonder if you hear my lusty cry?
