Shop Lights

Into the city Approaching at dusk Patrons crawling Down city streets Like an ant colony Just busy, busy, busy. Storefronts electrified With colored stringed lights Or neon illuminating Bistros and best-loved sights. Wrought iron tables Topped with frosted glass Dress the sidewalks on Crowded streets, while the Locals sip coffee And enjoy trendy treats, Tapping toes to the city beat. Villagers tattooed and Pierced in places one Would never know With streaks of pink or blue Or the purposeful fro, Walking side by side Into the night Where downtown glows In a city of lights.
