Sidewalk Innocence

·Boffin

Point blank he was shot in the head As the rest of his memories escaped out the back of his head Towards the serene light that streamed past his eyes Thats where he rested his concussed head Blood flowed freely from edges of his body where his heart danced And his soul finding roses amongst the thorns Before his mind ventured on an everlasting struggle His chest caved in like two walls of water And while drowning in the thoughts of innocent waters Life pushes it's way through death Rolling on a scale of earthly magnitude Falling into tattered hands that bruise back bones Calling out to those who free his spirits The lack options decrease the amount of beats in his heart While forcing his way through a tunnel of accusations Attempting to release the stake that is speared into the ground As light loses its brightness and life loses its meaning He lets go of the physical hold on his mind Never knowing that an evening stroll would bring this upon him Laying on the sidewalk as the night walks all over him Bringing the stars to mock the lifeless body Waiting for the wind to sweep up his remains As the night drinks the day away The smell of the victim of death While innocence follows the bullet back into the gun.
