Sign From Above
Once on the school bench I was told by the priest That God is more important Than I could think. And as time has gone by Those words still reside And now I seem to realize The truth inside those lines. And for some time It’s you I’ve been searching for But around me I can’t see you Some sign from you Is what I long for For believing in you Is what I want to do But as I look round I see the world of corruption Pain and misery we are living in And any worse it can’t get And therefore where is your work? And I reject blind faith As I have never experienced you And I can't see you By the image they portray you And once I see a sign From up above I’ll have a dream fulfilled And in you, God I will believe
