Silent Song
O great mirth and beauty, laughter! — From every household seed. Tho these other joys I’m after, This darksome, silent deed. I soak the solemn silky keen, Obscured and plunging rise. A chorus drowning sinks unseen, The last look of surprise. The pup I drowned did mutter. The waters slosh and move About the air's spent sputter. Can’t you see? This is Love.
