Silver Desert Sand
In the early morning hour The air is quiet And the shadows are long Turning smoothly By the rising of the sun Coming over The rolling sand dunes Certain insects gather The last drops of dew While other critters prepare To take refuge From the oncoming swelter Shadows grow shorter And the sand sparkles A breeze picks up And soon there is A billowing wind Sparse palm trees bend A dust cloud manifests Unable to see far into the distance A caravan of camels plods along Mighty is the silver desert Blessed with its white sands Broad and wide Like the minds of the wise people Who has seen its violence In a place so very empty The heart grows strong Water is extra sweet here And the place is cold after sunset Filled with awesome wonder Crystal sand reflection by day Is projected by quiet stars at night And Luna beams down Upon her velvet curtains
