Skateboarding Is Our Way Of Life

When we first started skateboarding We knew that it was our destiny And our constant practice helped To bring out the best of our abilities Whenever we skate around the block We feel free Because rolling on wheels Is where we want to be It feels so good When the breeze blows through our hair Adrenaline starts rushing through our veins And lifts us out of our moods of despair Skateboarding has taught us To take risks and accept dares And to live life on the edges Without a care To be spontaneous And to discover what’s out there In the calm And gentle air Skateboarding eases The tension within our souls And we’ll still be skateboarding When we get old Honestly without it Our lives could possibly fold We would probably collapse into comas And our palms would turn cold Yes we know we are exaggerating But hey it could happen And if it does then most likely We would have a hard time adapting We enjoy skateboarding Until the sun sets While chilling with each other And smoking cigarettes We place bets to see How many tricks each other can land If you are not a skateboarder Then you wouldn’t understand You wouldn’t believe how many tricks That we are capable of And we owe it all To the man above For giving us the ability To participate in the sport that we love For us It opens many doors And makes us wonder What life has in store Just the thought of it makes us Want to fulfill our dreams even more Of becoming professional skateboarders For our talents are what we would like to explore But the day that we die And when our organs cease all activity This passion will continue to burn deep within our souls For infinity By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
