Slave Hallucinations

·G Martin

In a city of quiet desperation I stand by the pavement & wait without any patience To try and satisfy a craving But find comfort in the most unfamiliar of places. From light to dark stuck in a time warp Where the alley cats get annoyed at facts and are unable to fill in the gaps With relationships based on placed bets & cigarettes So relief from stress can be found in the gutter press, Get it off your chest, confused young scarlet with a romance engine that’s a little tough to start with because little miss piggy has spent too much time at the local market. I gotta pocket full of change that’s left me exempt from Unspoken truths about a dream attempt. And a fake chemical love that’s only a temp So here we go again on another train Different mind frame but still nothing’s changed Still the same game and I’m deep in it and it knows With its sly blows and studded nose Supplying a safety net with a chopped glitchy rhythm Those tape memories now sucked into oblivion Which lies deep behind the eyes of displayed narcism? I dislike your mannerism so be careful before you speak on the common ground before getting picked up at the lost & found see a penny pick it up but now youve gotta look after the pounds, with a task to do because it feels better to be on the other side of the que while we all search for that clue. From dividing fractions to breaking the attraction it was all so simple before the switch in the pattern So lets just sit back and see what happens.
