Sleep

Dusk arrives, bids farewell to the sun. Night falls, cleansing itself of yesterday's sins. In a place far beyond our reach, Stars whisper into the night, Caressing gently a moonlit sky. Alone I stand In a vastness that engulfs my every being. Alone I tread Along unfamiliar roads. Crimson dreams, A kiss of death, midnight eyes lay rest In screaming silence - until morn. The beckoning of tomorrow creeps in And slowly a portrait of a new life is borne.
