Slipping

Walking a rope Above pools of regret Patchwork scabs Lends proof of missteps Festering sores Seep through my eyes Threaten the tempest Of memory's ride A day that was bright Now lost in the dark Echoes the pain From those we're apart Nets of tissue Wearing quite thin Strength's projection Slipping again Lurking in shadows Under the haze A spirit of sorrow Mirrors the brave mr_alleycat
