Slipping Away From

·Zairith

I want to see the broken bodies, Litter the streets and decay. I want to see all the oceans, Fill with blood and turn red. I want the ground to fall apart. I want the cities to burn to ashes. I want the mountains to crumble to dust. I just want to turn my back. Turn my back on all the good, All the bad, all the wrong. Turn my back on all my friends, On my family, on everything. I want to look in the mirror, When the world gives way, So I can watch my face fall away, And my body and soul decay. I want to feel nothing, For everyone, and everything. I want my heart to be cold and black, Frozen in a casing of apathy. I want to watch the world, Be flooded in tidal waves of blood. I want to see tornados, Of flesh, and bone. I want to see it all give way, I want to see everyone frozen in fear. I want the ground to fall apart. I want to hear the sound of death. I want to see the sky turn black, When the burns out. I want to look up, And see the clouds rain blood. I want to see the darkest side, Of your heart. I want to hear the screams, Of your victims. I want to see all the plants, Refuse the sun’s light, and die. I want to see all the animals, Bite their masters’ hand. I want earthquakes to separate, Mothers from daughters, and fathers from sons. I want meteors to shower, Upon this twisted ground. I want the darkness to cover, This wretched earth. And I want the life drained, From everything. I want the end to be here, And everyone to die. So that peace may at last, Cover the whole cursed land.
