Smoke curling around boney fingers that familliar smell of you All i have left in my thoughts is this Your persona, your shield, not you Did i ever know you? Did you ever let me near? These are the questions that i fear I let you build your future alone only my regrets to keep me warm You showed the world your outward strengh Your beautiful, untainted soul I was busy dying, carving out my veins Wishing you were the man i loved Instead you were just being you While i lay contented, my blood flowing free All i had left in my dying thoughts is this Did you ever know me? Did i ever let you near? It is not the questions but the answers that i fear
