She dives into the icy indigo of arctic waters her sleek form slices through sub-zero seeking the ageless midnight of the glacial ocean the threat of hollow darkness beckons an odd heaviness pulls her to the very edge Pale skin thins across her cheekbones cold liquid fingers sluice her hair she does not falter just tightens up around the edges a bit she sees the dream of lies petal deep in the colorful abyss of desire then turns and erupts flying upward she shatters the placid surface all pounding lungs and screaming heart her face raised to the sun washed clean of childish illusion
