So Perfect
Your life is so perfect I see you grinning with that awful smile I wonder if it's even worth it To walk the mile When I feel in denial So cold and vile So insecure and With crooked, broken, hands I stare at this demon in the mirror And wonder will she ever leave Will she ever let me be Cause she's suffocating my dreams And she won't let me breathe Without beckoning me To give the blood I bleed To this crystal solid sink To match wits with my soul To dig myself into a deeper hole To lay my mind on the line Of the brink of insanity and the vine That wraps around my every feeling All these roses won't stop kneeling They'll yield until their knee's are cracking Until their petals are overlapping With their fate Their hate You're so perfect So innocent Such an angel So selfless Yet selfish What if I broke your halo? To show people what they should really know You can't keep barking up the same tree Those roses won't get off their knees They're waiting And fading Into the shadows Of the scorched meadows You've got to get your life back You act as if your soul had been snatched No hope, but no shame No voice, but no name You've got soldiers on the front line Just waiting to die As you push them into the sky They all pray for wings to fly You're a liar A deceiver You light the fire Make me a believer That the worst of life comes from you I know I'm feeling the truth The worst part about this Is all these things you knew
