Softly she said hello as she looked up to tell me so so softly her eyes melted into mine Softly she took my hand led me to a wondrous land so softly I held her through the night We sang and danced to a lovely song the time so short our yearning so long we became a part of each other so softly Softly she left my touch never knew a heart could break so much so softly I called out her name How I wondered and wondered why so softly I sit and cry remembering how softly she said goodbye to me
