Why does it have to be 
That everyone in government always lies? 
Or so it’s told to you and me 
At every election by each side. 
 
Why do so many people have to fight 
Over resources, when our science 
Has ways to grow food and clean water 
Anywhere and anytime day or night? 
 
Why does coming together as one human race 
With one set of laws governing this place 
Mean sacrificing the security and safety 
Of what we have already built? 
 
Why do so many, so easily believe 
That their way has to be the best; 
That it is important to dominate 
And to destroy all the rest? 
 
And why is someone who sees answers 
So completely unable to succeed 
In getting anyone to believe?
