Some Things Never Change
I dream, I wake, Mind begins to arrange. Rejecting old wisdom, Because some things never change. On ice, On snow, Glistening surfaces of white. Once city turned wonderland, Illuminated in the night. Of flowers, Of rain, The new birth of spring. Between whistles of breezes The birds always sing. In space, In stars, The warmth of a sun. A rotational performance; Revolution in the long run. The sands, The seas, The sparkling shores. In this near-perfect world, I ache for one thing more. Our hearts, Our love, Won't ever exchange. I know this for sure, Some things never change.
