The hour of the day grows long A diesel train sounds its horn in the distance Nearby a car is pulling up slowly in the parking lot Confirmation by means of sharing You see it takes place when you tell me Of how you will go and do something menial It makes it easier to bear And to bring it into existence Who would question you but yourself Communicating intention legitimizes thought not action So you get people who tell you that They will now go outside to go buy some roses Or that they will now have to leave To go and watch a movie with the spouse People tell each other what they do Because even the dogmatic may be intimidating If not brought into the light of good order When two people know of the same details They share the doubt of the other's planned actions And so no matter the level of triviality The dubitable reliance remains the same arbitration The sharing of faith in even the most simplest of things So that you won't have to do it alone
