Listen very closely to the silence of the dawning as the sun meets the morning sky the first gentle breeze as it brushes cross the leaves while big brother the wind flies over high Catch the meadow lark singing it's first song awakening life from sleep with the sweet mellow tune the flowers are a' bloom as the dreams we dearly keep With a child's first cry an aged one waves bye making way for new birth like a never drying well the stories they tell listen to the songs of the earth Listen to the ocean as the spray meets the shore sands wash away with the sea the waves never ending like a beckoning they keep sending calling to you and me Hear the majestic mountains and the forest cystal falls plunge like tons of rain like the lightning and thunder remaining a wonder forever to stay the same With a child's first cry an aged one waves bye making way for new birth just open and find true music divine listen to the songs of the earth
