Sonnet to a Loved One, Valentine’s Day, 2015

As dusk now touches the lips of my life With all my heart and more beside To you, my Valentine, my darling wife. I give my all, with nothing denied, To face the times that lie ahead, In our quest for challenges new; By a gracious Lord we know we’re led To spiritual realms untried but true. With you, my guide, through future days, With God’s direction ever present, However bleak and dim our gaze, We’ll journey till our time is spent. To you, my angel, so faithful and true A poem, a sonnet, a simple token, Written in my heart from me to you, A humble tribute with words unspoken, 14 February 2015
