Soul of selflessness
Too foreign the concept of willingness to be second best Of preference to remain in obscured corners in spite the allure of glittery spotlights To rejoice with heart as others relish the fruits of labors due to you. So valiant, so few To give till it hurts and live a cheerfull life of sacrifice They say that it’s through giving that one grows beyond the measure of an ordinary man If that is true, then giants you’ve become You the descendants of nobility, custodians of divine virtues of man You’re salvation with kindness bought I applaud you’re selfless acts with no glory sought Restore my faith, my blinded sight Make me selfless and lighten this burdened heart For I too am addicted to the light…
