SOUTHERN LADY
Awake in a room of unvisible pain Imprisoned by walls of memory plaster Again to look at the doodads and things From old loves who'd willingly cast her At the water in her house of sand Dalí docks betray difficult weather Silhouette birds glide in moonlit sky Over her islands that go on forever Mostly left for her now's just a memory The laughter and love of life in her prime And much of what happened but a moment ago Has set adrift with the tides of her time ~Jeff Lowe
