Spellbound (Revised)
So very many years have passed We were one and love was blind Immersed in deep sweet passion Your face has never left my mind Then yesterday as I went walking Through this lonely, torpid town I saw that you were approaching And I was spellbound My head filled up with memories Times before it all waxed cold Laughing like two young children Never thought we would grow old Suddenly there you were again All my emotions raced around Knowing that I loved you still And I was spellbound You smiled and kissed my cheek Looked at me in that special way We engaged in a trivial chatter I could not think of what to say I watched as you were departing You stopped and turned around I wondered if you loved me still And I was spellbound We gazed at each other for a while Communicating with our eyes A tear was running down your face You always said love never dies Closing my eyes I prayed so hard That forgiveness you had found Then you said you loved me still And I was spellbound
