Spirit Companion
You crunch on eggshells try to go unseen, vile fiend, still hiding spirit left unclean, my eyes may see naught but your scent does reek, stamping your presence lasting for a week pitting patting walk with the ilk of rats, gorging at midnight with the hungry bats, shake all the door knobs scratch against the floor, scare those who wronged you settle an old score fear lies in shadow keep me from my sleep, whisper in darkness wait to see me weep, holy water fails prayer obsolete, salt lost its power bringing on defeat but dawn doth approach chasing you away, I can sleep safely with the light of day.
