Take me to the waves And let them wash over me, Cleansing my soul, And washing away my fears. Let me smell the salty sea scents And hear the waves’ crash. Let me watch the water Moving to and fro. Let me feel the warmth of sun on my skin. Take me to the place where I was born, The place where I will die, Where my ashes will turn to dust, And my spirit will be renewed. I will dance with my feet in the water. My hair will float with the clouds. In the sky, The sun will become my smile, And bless the world With my joy. The wind will whisper The secrets of life in my ears. My heart will beat With a clap of thunder, And the summer rain Will be my blood. Take me to the land Of my mothers And my fathers Who came before me. They are calling my name. Take me to my home.
