Split
Good lives somewhere inside me, The evil has a hold and won’t let it free. Two forces waging war within, Conflicted heart, which one will win? Evil feeds on pain without alleviation. The good following plans without deviation. Evil exudes with every breath taken. Wishing the good fights back and not be forsaken, Two halves creating an evenly split whole, This battle inside is beginning to take its toll. I look for guidance and I start to pray, Please help me decide which one will stay. Head spinning, dizziness, fading to black A shift in balance, the good has fought back. Vision clears with the sound of a closing door. Dr. sits down and says, “I’m sorry, split personalities you’ll have forever more”.
