Starlight Moment

·CuldeSac

The stars have grown deeper than before. They were always there, bright and remote, but now they enter the extra years in me and, in their light, I become more than I was. The years have driven on and on, leaving vast distances between this place and the one I came from, that half-remembered home. Starlight bends inside my eyes. Time is nothing if the heart stays cold. I stand beneath them with my arms open, grateful for the times I was foolish, grateful for the times I was wise. Across the whole of the Milky Way you have somehow reached me. I take you into this mortal body and, for a moment, you become eternal.
