Borne of the earth and fathered by the sun, she emerged from the belly and the heavens shook; As if to proclaim that she had arrived! The expectant family waited at home. With the suffocating smells of curry in the air already feeding their hunger for the new one. The crowd of big bellied uncles, aproned aunts and naughty cousins rumbled and boiled and churned; As if to proclaim that she had arrived! The handsome doctor with the sterile smile, and the stern matron' busied themselves with the flowing crimson pools and macerated protruding limbs. The many green cloaked hands reached out As if to proclaim she had arrived! Borne of the earth and fathered by the sun she emerged from the belly, But the life planted from conception quickly faded with the moon rising. The wailing and the heavy screams pierced the air; As if to say she had departed!
