stories

As I stare at this wall in which you reside, I can’t help but wonder what should’ve, could’ve, would’ve been. But no one will know and no time will tell because you stay in this wall and I am here without you. And because these stories are all I have left of you. A man I barely knew, but loved with all certainty. I carry a card in my wallet from the flowers you sent. And the memory of out first kiss I carry in my heart. A necklace with your name I wear around my neck. And a longing and sorrow I wear on my face. A moment beyond compare that will forever linger in my soul. A wisp of perfection gone too soon and a list of dreams never to come true. You are a man I barely knew, but loved with all certainty. And these stories are all I have left of you.

I write as a release. I have a thick skin. Tell it like it is.
