Storyteller's Delight
A friend in love asked me to recite why was love a story teller's delight Seep down my heart you'll find tales of love and their plight we walked and walked I purchased some lilies on the way Reached a graveyard and sat beside a grave "With love" was witten on it's face I embraced his hand, commenced the story Saw a girl basking in morning glory dumbfounded was i to see her beauty lost all the rythm of my life i wanted her to be my wife With all the courage i could muster i went up to her to say those words but before i could open my mouth she stood and smiled looked into my eyes and i could see a lifetime what was expecting she tis was then i found language wasn't that profound our eyes did all the talking hand in hand we were walking life meant more than ever before i took her as my bride she was my only pride We loved we fought We fought We loved Happy were we, but then tis was then that she was taken ill i could do nothing but to see her rot in that melancholy cot beside which i sat I cried i cried, till all my tears dried i loved her more than ever before I was sworn not to cry She held my hands and kissed me That was the touch I will cherish till the last Then, One fine morning She asked bring me lilies everyday Since then I have kept my promise Because, this is her grave Where she lies And here are the lilies as she likes!!
