Stripes
Midnight blue, navy blue, indigo, sky blue, white fluff, silver. Golden sunlight halo filters through sea green turquoise thrill. Seagull aloft mixes the ribbon colours. Streaks of light highlight the banding of the layers- sky water land elemental ripples in my mind earth water air. Cutting across the pattern, the big ships sail on the ally, ally oh to be a stowaway and watch from down below. Shingle, shells and driftwood warm, sandy hues- pink grey slate seal brown taupe. I feel the irresistible pull of the tide and hear the enchanting siren call of the sea echoing in my heart.
