·Calliope

The same it went for her you know A fake and fucked up life Trying to appease ideals The sweet & caring wife Societal roles showing her Examples she should follow Don't deviate from the plan This pill so hard to swallow A rotting cancer in her soul Thus she became indignant It took some time to metastasize Now apparently malignant So now she knows what she must do It's been knawing at her mind She has another side to her But it is not benign So she decides to arbitrate This conflict in her mind To indulge this charade, move on through Or annul it in red wine She knows a man of high regard Who could serve to surfeit A man of mesomorphic stature For her convuluted tryst She knows now she must walk alone Of her mindful own volition To a place of manifest uncertainty One of acquiescent submission A yearning, burning hunger Deep down in her minion To allow him carte blanche Of unequivocal dominion So she inaugurates this process She steps into her car Without much thought to consequence Her drive not very far Standing at the threshold now Her heart left at the door She softly taps & awaits her cue Her role, his tawdry whore When she knocks she hears a voice She knows where to begin Damn! the voice is loud and shrill Of "It's Open, Come on In!" Quietly she enters in As if to buffer any rage Caution will not save her now On this unmitigated stage
