it's crazy to think 
how sadness 
is such a stronger feeling 
than happiness 
but i truly believe that 
for myself 
if they were both equal 
why would so many people 
cry more tears of sorrow 
than joy 
maybe i'm just not naturally happy 
and all that sappy shit 
disgusts me 
all these lonely nights 
fill my miserable life 
and it's just lovely 
ya....right 
but you never actually see 
somebody so damn happy 
that nothing can bring them down 
'cause if a loved one passed away 
that'd sure wipe the smile 
off of my face 
there's so many terms for sadness 
like, all this misery and grief 
bad shit seems to happen to me 
i'm so unhappy 
but i'm sorry to be depressed 
i feel a little moody 
i'm afflicted by teary eyes 
and i'm looking gloomy 
i'm heart broken and crushed 
the blues have rushed in 
from troublin' times 
and it's so tragic 
that this saddened 
soul of mine 
goes to sleep 
weeping in the dark 
and wakes up mourning
