Summer Day
A warm breeze blows a feathered traveler across the summer sky. My mind wanders, saunters really, to a place inside its eye. The clouds form ever-changing worlds which roll across the sea, As children laugh and tumble and play in a place that’s close to me. A smoky grill blows gastric wonder over toward my way. I lay head in hands, upon the ground on grass my body splayed. The warm sun's rays tan my skin as it has for decades before, A golden brown is the certain goal of which we all keep score. A shimmering pool, a glistening lake, calls each swimmer's name. A palate of flowers of which only Mickey could dream completes the scene this day. And in my arms your love my dear makes all of that seem grey. And in your arms my heart is home this magic summer day.

I just began writing a few weeks ago. I have no idea if I am horrible or tolerable but would love to hear any feedback. Thanks so much in advance.
