Sun
Oh, my god What have you placed inside of my heart? I look down at my own hands I see the wrinkles that have come to appear Out of nowhere all of a sudden What used to be beautiful to me Starts to shine brighter than the sun Coming up over the hill Upon the new morrow Oh, my lord Please forgive me as I gawk I myself can not believe the majesty I see When I look upon the smooth skin of youth Well conditioned I do refrain of course But my heart goes out yet to this Young female sitting in front of me Such promise in her finger tips That they shine on in pink As she flips through the pages Of the book she is reading You let me go my own way for as long as I wanted So I one day could wake up and see myself As I used to be and as I still am Way beyond the years of any form of fruition Yet I like to pretend that I Can write something new under the sun And somehow impress her Fool We were all there once before But because we are not there any more We feel that it is now somehow totally different Though within the wash of time all of us must fade And get contorted out of our original shape Who will judge then upon what is right or wrong? Looking back and then looking back some more I see the light of potential Shining in the bosom of the beautiful Women that come to be in my viscinity I can clearly see how it means much more to me now Than it ever did before And of course it makes me feel guilty For it reminds me of how I detest myself For simply having grown older than I should have Living past thirty is an absolute honour So few people in the past have ever gotten to it But we see here once again how man is dubious For he would easily forget what he is afforded Once chances and takes have been spent Once man has already come to wonder about What there is and what more there could be For life is incredibly short One day you wake up and you are somehow at once Way older than than you would have liked to be And at first you tell yourself that you wasted time And that your current state of affairs is your own fault But here is the twist You couldn't possibly have done any different For what you have done concludes in your current thought
